Patricia
My name is Patricia. I am from Cusco, Peru. I came to Utah 5 years ago to gain an education. Utah is the only state I've been to in the U.S. and I really enjoy it because it's quiet and the people are very kind. I am a student at Salt Lake Community College, studying to become a radiology technologist. My hobbies are listening to music, playing my guitar, and preparing traditional Peruvian food. I am fluent in Spanish.

Keith
I was born in a small suburb south of Chicago, Illinois, called Blue Island. Working with kids, whether it be mentoring, coaching, or teaching, is my passion. My dream, as grandiose as it sounds, is to enact change in the urban areas of America by developing social and athletic programs, promoting education and creating community solidarity activities to counteract the influence of gangs, drugs and sedentary lifestyles. To help accomplish my goals, I plan to earn a master’s degree in social work or community leadership in 2019.

Medha
My name is Medha. I am currently working on my Bachelors degree in Economics and a minor in Accounting. When I’m not working in the e-Portfolio lab or in class, I’m a substitute teacher. With the remaining free time, I like to spend it with my 3 year old yellow lab. His name is Remington. Sports are my favorite pass time, especially basketball. My hobbies include: basketball, eating, watching movies, and just hanging out with friends and family. If you want to talk about the upcoming/current NBA season or just share some dog photos, you can find me in the e-Portfolio lab at SLCC.

Ali
I moved to the U.S about three years ago since my life was in a serious danger back in Iraq. I attended four years at the American University of Iraq but never graduated because I had to leave the country. I’m starting all over again from block one at Salt Lake Community College. I’m taking Computer Science and Information Systems as a major. The plan is to get a PhD in the field.
Moreover, I’m an intellectual. I like to study and learn about the things that drive my curiosity. I also like to travel and explore historical sites. Besides the geek stuff, soccer occupies a big portion of my life. I watch soccer games and play soccer with friends sometimes. I like to barbecue a lot. My favorite is grilling lamb and fish. When I’m throwing goofy jokes, it means I’m stressed.
