SLCC does not endorse particular ePortfolio platforms. However, if you choose to create your ePortfolio using one of the three following platforms, SLCC can provide support in the locations noted on the "Getting Started" page.
Please do not use social media platforms (Facebook, etc.) for your ePortfolio. Do notuse WordPress, Google Sites, or Yola if you are new to ePortfolios at SLCC.
Key to Pros and Cons Items in green with a + are pros and items in red with a - are cons. Items in blue can be either pros or cons. Use the arrows on the bottom of the widget to flip through the pros & cons.
* 5 MG is a lot of space. However, consider truly showcasing your course work instead of only uploading files to your pages. See the "Examples" page for ideas on how to showcase your work. For all of these platforms, really large projects like videos and photo galleries are best housed at other locations like Flickr and Youtube, and then embed them in your ePortfolio. That way, you won’t be using up storage space on the ePortfolio and won’t have to worry about file upload limits. Check the specific platform for details about this.
